What is football?

Football is the world’s most popular ball game in terms of a number of participants and spectators. The fact that the rules of the game are simple and the essential equipment that you would require is a ball, makes it widely popular and possible to be played almost anywhere, from official football playing fields to streets, school playgrounds, parks, or beaches.

To talk about rules, they are fairly simple! Each team consists of 11 players, 10 field players and 1 goalkeeper who is allowed to catch the ball inside the penalty area. The entire game is broken into two 45 minute sessions. You should focus on tackling the ball and not your opponent. To score you have to send your ball into your opponent’s goal. The winner is whoever scores maximum goals than their opponent team! What makes the game even more exciting is the offside rule, you cannot be closer to the goal than the last field defender when receiving the ball from your partner.
